Joining Year R in September

Applications are handled by your home local authority and places are allocated according to our relevant admissions policy (see below).  You should apply for a Year R place during the autumn term after your child turns four.  For guidance please follow these links:

• Applying for a reception place (Year R) for Hampshire residents, or
• Starting infant/primary school (Year R) for Southampton residents

We hold tours for prospective parents during November we publish the dates on our school website and you are asked to book a place.  Please note that his tour is aimed at parents and carers to see the school in action.  There will be opportunity for your child to see the school at a later date.

If you are applying on faith grounds please complete a Supplementary information form (SIF) and send it to us directly after submitting your application.

In-year applications – 1st September 2025 to 31st August 2026

We may have some places available in other year groups.

If you would like to discuss applying for a place at Nursling please contact the school office and to arrange a visit of the school if you would like.

You can apply for a place on the Hampshire School Admissions website where you can find the in-year application forms.  You will be notified of the outcome of an in-year application via email within ten school days, although we aim for a much quicker reply.
